Hybrid and activity-based working changes what a floor has to do. This flexible office cubicle layout mixes assigned desks, hot-desking positions and collaborative space so the floor still works when attendance varies day to day.

Nothing here is fixed. Workstation dimensions, panel heights, glazing, fabric and laminate finishes are chosen per project — 5×5 and 6×6 cubicles are the most common starting points, adjusted to suit the floor plate.

Worksurface orientation is set so screens avoid direct glare from windows and overhead lighting, a detail that is easy to lose when a plan is drawn to seat count alone.

Best suited to hybrid teams, rotating schedules and organisations where headcount on any given day is variable.
